How to watch Daybreak Live
Watch live or later, use Room view in class, and turn on captions.
Daybreak Live airs at 7:55 a.m. on school days. The stream opens about 10 minutes early. Between shows, Today has a Countdown to the next one. Don't want the numbers ticking? Choose Hide countdown.
Watch live:
1. When the show is on, a red LIVE sign shows in the header. 2. Open Today and tap the player. The video plays from BoxCast, our video service. 3. On an iPhone or iPad the show may start with no sound. Tap "Tap To Unmute" in the player.
Watch later: after the show, the same player plays the recording, marked Replay. A new recording can take a few minutes to appear. If you see "This Episode isn't available yet," wait a few minutes and choose Try again.
Room view for a classroom: on a laptop or Chromebook, choose Room view under the player to fill the screen. Press Esc to leave. Phones don't show this button.
Captions: when an Episode has captions, turn them on with the CC button inside the video player.
Blocked at school? Under the player, choose "Open on BoxCast" to watch on BoxCast's own site. If that is blocked too, ask the school's tech office to allow boxcast.tv.
Share a show: on an Episode's page, choose Copy link and paste it anywhere.
