School day info: Rotation Day, Bell Schedule and menus
Where the school day details come from, and what to do when one looks wrong.
Today and What's on show the school day at a glance: the Rotation Day (Day 1 to 6), the Bell Schedule (Regular, AM Activity, PM Activity or Half Day), whether school is open, delayed or closed, plus events and menus.
Where it comes from:
Rotation Day, Bell Schedule and open, delayed or closed come from the Tiger News Advisor. If the Advisor hasn't posted today yet, the site says "Not posted yet." It never guesses. News, events and menus come from the district website, scasd.us. Tiger News copies them every hour and shows where each one came from. All times are Eastern time.
A red bar that says "Official school notice" is an urgent notice, like a delay or an early dismissal. It always names its source.
If something looks wrong:
1. Open the source link next to it. The school may have changed it after we copied it. 2. For delays and closings, the district's own notices come first. Check scasd.us. 3. If Tiger News still shows something wrong, tell the Tiger News Advisor at school.
For attendance or other school office questions, use the district's contacts at scasd.us. Tiger News is a student newsroom, not the school office.
On What's on, choose your School once; this browser remembers it. Add to calendar downloads one event for your calendar app. Check the source before leaving: a downloaded event won't update when the school changes it.
